<p>PURPOSE:To provide a vibration suppressing structure member which can generate the superior vibration suppressing effect without applying restriction to the utilization space such as a structure, by providing the damping characteristic to the structure member itself. CONSTITUTION:On each of the obverse and verse surfaces of a main plate 1h which consists of a thick steel plate and constitutes a structure member, two steel plates having a prescribed plate thickness are installed as patch plates 2 in total four pieces. The patch plates 2 are laminated on a part on the whole of the surface of the main plate 1, and total five pieces are installed through spot welding at four corners and the center. The main plate 1 and the patch plate 2 generate the relative slip and mutual interference on the contact surface, and the structure members such as beams and pillars are provided with the high damping characteristic.</p> |
