PURPOSE:To prevent an imidazole azomethine dye useful for image formation of as a filter from fading or discoloring in a short time period. CONSTITUTION:An imidazole azomethine dye represented by the formula and a thermal transfer dye-donating material containing the same. In the formula, R<1> to R<4> each is hydrogen or a group of nonmetallic atoms, R<5> and R<6> each is hydrogen, an alkyl, an aryl, or a heterocyclic group, and A and B each is hydrogen or a nonmetallic substituent, provided that B is not phenyl. |
