PURPOSE:To provide an ink which causes no clogging in a nozzle out of use during recording nor clogging in a printer head of a printer in a temporary or long-term suspension, enables an easy restoration even when clogging should occur, gives a printed material having printed part which dries well and does not stain the material, and can form a high-quality printed image comprising circular dots with no irregular blur. CONSTITUTION:A monoester of a dicarboxylic acid is incorporated into an ink contg. a water-sol. dye, a water-sol. org. solvent, and water.
