PURPOSE:To provide a column filler having high separative function for a sample containing protein and the like by embellishing the surface of a porous polymer with hydrophobic radical and hydrophilic radical. CONSTITUTION:This filler is formed by coating the surface of a porous support 10 coated with silicon polymer 12 with polymer 12. At this time,-SiH group in the simple substance is used for polymerization, but not consumed the whole, remaining-SiH group in the polymer 12 is reacted with hydrophobic radical R having double bond to form-SiR group 14. Because afterward hydrophilic radical can not be introduced if the whole-SiH group becomes-SiR group, the reaction condition is changed according to the purpose. Next,-SiH group not yet reacted of the polymer 12 is reacted with hydrophilic radical R' 16 having double bond to form hydrophilic-SiR'. Consequently, the surface of the polymer 12 becomes a construction embellished with R and R', and unique elution characteristic is obtained by rate of both. |
