PURPOSE:To make a lap and a work abut on each other evenly to form the surface of the work into a high precision flat surface without correction by making a work, which is fitted to the end surface of a rotating adjust ring, abut on the surface of a rotating disc-shape lap with a predetermined pressure. CONSTITUTION:A lap 1 is rotated, and multiple works 3, 3 are fixed to the end surface of an adjust ring 2 over the lap 1 (by the adhesive 4), and the adjust ring 2 is rotated. Namely, driving rollers 17, 18 are rotated by a gear motor 10 through gears 12, 13, 14 to rotate the lap 1 to the arrow 41 direction. A pulley 30 is rotated by a gear motor 22 to rotate pulleys 25, 26 through a belt 31, and the adjust ring 2 is rotated to the arrow 46 direction by driving rollers 27, 28 fixed to the pulleys 25, 26 to perform the polishing. A work 3 fitted to the adjust ring 2 itself is thereby polished by the lap 1, and simultaneously, the top surface thereof is corrected to eliminate the generation of uneven abrasion on the top surface of the lap 1. |
