<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the life of a male member from being shortened in a pipe joint of a type in which a shaft-like valve element is forced in to open a male member, by locating the axis of the valve element on the same line as the axis of the male member when the valve element is forced in by a push rod on the female member side. CONSTITUTION:A male member A comprising a tubular main body 1 having a valve seat part 23 on the inner peripheral surface and a valve part 21 on one end of a shaft body 20 is housed to move back and forth in the main body 1 along the same axis as that of the same, and has a valve element 2a having the shaft part supported by a wall composed of a part of the main body 1 and a spring 24 for energizing the valve element 2a and valve seat part 23 to provide the valve closing state. When the male member A is connected to the female member B, the valve element 2a is forced in against an energizing force of the spring 24 by the distal end of a push rod 6 provided in the female member B to provide a pipe joint of a type in which the valve element 2a is separated from the valve seat part 23 to provide the condition of opened valve. The distal part of the push rod 6 concentric with the valve element 2a is provided with a support for blocking the shaft body end from the radial movement.</p> |
