[Class 89 (iii)] In a rotary sewage-distributer of the kind in which a water wheel 27 has a driving wheel 30 engaging a circular track 31, the sewage is fed by an overhead pipe 10 to a feed pan 15 which is supported on a turntable 19 so as to be able to rock in a vertical plane to allow for irregularities in the circular track 31. The feed pan may have projections 21 to engage recesses in the turntable br vice versa. In a modification the pan has trunnions to engage bearings in lugs on the turntable. The feed pipe 10 has a detachable elbow 14 discharging into a wire &c. cage 18. In a modification the water wheel 27 covers the whole of the filter bed 11, the arm 17 being used for counter-balancing only.
