PURPOSE:To make a liquid in a liquid chamber which is provided in the shaft seal part of a rod difficult to leak and also to enable preventing the leakage of high-pressure gas in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A gas cushion device 10 is provided with a cylinder 11 in which high-pressure gas is charged, rod 12 which is inserted into this cylinder 11 and shaft seal assembly 25. The shaft seal assembly 25 is provided with a 1st sealing part 27 with directionality, liquid chamber 28 and 2nd sealing part 30 with directionality. The 1st sealing part 27 has the directionality so that the outflow of the liquid 32 in the liquid chamber 28 in the direction of the open end 13 of the cylinder is constrained and the inflow of the liquid into the liquid chamber 28 from the side of the open end 13 of the cylinder is allowed. The 2nd sealing part 30 has the directionality so that the outflow of the liquid 32 in the liquid chamber 28 in the direction of an air chamber 21 is constrained and the inflow of the liquid from the side of the air chamber 21 into the liquid chamber 28 is allowed. |
