摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the burned or non-burned refractory brick which is stable to a slag attack even under high-temp. and oxidative atmosphere conditions and has excellent corrosion resistance even to slag of high T. Fe relating to an improvement of the magnesia carbon brick formed by using high-purity electromolten magnesia clinker. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of CaO/SiO2 in the crystal grain boundaries of the refractory brick contg. >=10wt.% electromolten magnesia clinker having 99.0 to 99.8wt.% MgO content, <=0.03wt.% SiO2 content and 0.1 to 1.0wt.% CaO content, is high and, therefore, the CaO and SiO2 provide a thickening effect to the slag infiltrating the crystal grain boundaries, by reacting with the slag, by which the infiltration of the slag at the crystal grain boundaries is suppressed.
