PURPOSE:To discriminate a fluorescence generating device and measure its strength by focusing the luminous image existing on a gel migration plate by means of a lens into an appropriate size, and dividing it nearly equally by the use of a beam splitter such as a dichroic mirror. CONSTITUTION:Several laser beams having wave length to excite respective fluorescences of a plurality of sorts of fluorescent material for discriminating DNA fragments are focused on the same axis and irradiated, and the two-dimensional fluorescence luminous image on a migration gate plate 2 is at first focused with an image forming lens 7. The image in sufficient small condition is nearly equally divided into two images in different direction by 90 degrees with a beam splitter 8 such as a cube prism vapor-deposited with metal on the facing face angle. The images are respectively transmitted through band-pass filters 9, 10 proper to fluorescence wave length band to be discriminated, then guided to reach the scondary detectors 11a, 11b such as video camera provided with amplifier or cooled CCD camera and to be detected output from an output device 13 through a signal processing device 12, and displayed on a monitor 14. |
