<p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of plate thickness by correcting the predictive error of the plate thickness and the draft position of a roll based on a measured value newly obtained when the tip of a rolled stock passes a thickness indicator and a downstream stand and then the tip of the material passes the downstream stand. CONSTITUTION:When the tip of a material to be rolled passes the 1st stand, the (m+1)th stand on the downstream of the thickness indicator 3A, the deviation of the plate thickness on the tip of the material to the target value is required based on a plate thickness measured value and an expression of mass flow constant on the inlet and outlet sides of the stand by the thickness indicator. Estimates of deformation resistance on the tip of the material are required based on measured values of rolled load at a time passing the tip of the material to be rolled on the 1st-the (m-1)th stand and the plate thicknesses on the inlet and outlet sides estimated from the expression of mass flow constant. Feedforward correction of a rolling down position on the downstream stand is carried out so that the plate thickness on the outlet side of the final stand is equalized by using these estimate values to the target value. In this way, the accuracy of the plate thickness on the outlet side of the final stand is improved.</p> |
