<p>PURPOSE:To enhance removal efficiency and to prevent corrosion of an equipment in comparatively inexpensive operation by introducing a white smoke generating source into an alkali washing tower and removing harmful substance which is contained in the white smoke generating source and corrodes a filter and then passing the white smoke generating source through at least one layer of filters to remove it. CONSTITUTION:HClO4, SiF4, BCl3 and POCl3 or the like being a gas series, NH4Cl or the like being a dust series and furthermore a mist series such as washing liquid or the mixture of these series are incorporated as a white smoke generating source. Exhaust gas containing the white smoke generating source is introduced into an alkali washing tower 2 from an aggregation tank 1. Harmful substance which is contained in exhaust gas and corrodes a filter is removed and also one part of the white smoke generating source of a large particle is physically removed which secondarily shows comparatively remarkable white smoke phenomena. Then the residual white smoke generating source is completely trapped by passing the exhaust gas through a filter chamber 3 in which at least one layer of filters 6, 7, 8 are overlapped in the proper intervals.</p> |
