The container has a bottom portion with four walls and several projections extending from the bottom along the side walls. The projections are spaced apart a distance to provide a slot between to hold an individual package. There is a top portion which acts as a lid and is hinged along the back wall to hinge the top and bottom together. - The slots along the side walls are aligned with each other. Several steps may project from the bottom portion and are aligned with the slots to elevate the packages from the bottom and allow easy circulation of the sterilisation medium. There can be a slot in the bottom to allow drainage of the sterilisation medium.
