PURPOSE:To provide a herbicidal composition containing an iminothiazoline derivative and a urea-type herbicide compound, having synergistically increased herbicidal effect, effective at a low rate of application and exhibiting expanded herbicidal spectrum. CONSTITUTION:Te objective composition contains (A) a compound of formula [R<1> is halogen, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy or haloalkylmercapto; R<2> is alkyl, Cl, Br or I; R<3> is (substitutable) alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkoxy, (substitutable) cycloalkyl or (substitutable) alkoxy; R<4> is H or halogen], e.g. 2- methoxycarbonylimino-3-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-5-iodothiazoline and (B) a urea-type herbicide compound such as isoproturon, fluometuron, diuron and fenuron. The amount of the component B is 0.1-100 pts.wt., especially 0.8-30 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the component A. The composition is effective for the selective control of wide variety of weeds on the field of cotton, soybean, corn, wheat, barley, etc. |
