PURPOSE: To obtain an immunoassay useful to measure the presence or absence of CEA gene family member, a method for identifying between CEA gene families, and further various types of specific antibody. CONSTITUTION: Serum or plasma in sample is brought into contact with specific antibody of one of CEA gene family member. In this case, the antibody is not cross-reacted with the member, and it is brought into contact with the antibody under sufficient condition that the antibody is bonded to the specific CEA gene family member to form an antibody-antigen product, thereby detecting the antibody-antigen product.
