PURPOSE:To enhance sorting capacity while reducing the leakage of a line of magnetic force in the vicinity of the falling place of an object to be inspected by specifying the arrangement of a plurality of magnets in a magnetic sorter wherein magnets are fixed to the interior of a rotary cylinder and the intensity change in magnetic force is generated on the surface of the cylinder to sort a magnetic body. CONSTITUTION:Four anti-slip ribs 11 are provided to the surface of a cylinder 1 made of aluminum and five trough-shaped magnets 21 are bonded to the protruding parts formed to the surface of a columnar body 2 having a fan-shaped cross section. That is, two N-type magnets 21n each having an N-pole provided to the trough-shaped protruding surface thereof and three S-type magnets 21s each having an S-pole provided to the trough-shaped protruding surface thereof are provided to the columnar body 2 in the order of N-type/S-type/N-type/S- type/S-type so as to cover the whole of the protruding parts on the surface of the columnar body 2. The columnar bodies 2 fitted with magnets are arranged in the cylinder 1 in a non- rotatable manner so as to provide a predetermined gap and the cylinder 1 is rotated by a drive source and only a magnetic body is attracted to the columnar body 2 from a device continuously feeding an object to be inspected by the magnetic force of the columnar body 2 and rotated in the state held to the cylinder to be allowed to naturally fall at a place where the magnetic field generated by the magnets is weak. |
