PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of a system and reduce blower power by providing a nitrogen oxide reducing method comprising a supplying process for supplying hydrogen gas, and a reducing process for applying contact reduction to combustion exhaust gas in which the hydrogen gas is supplied in a catalyst device at a low temperature atmosphere 250 deg.C or less so as to reduce nitrogen oxide. CONSTITUTION:The combustion device of a stirling engine comprises a combustion chamber 1, a fuel supplying part 2 for supplying fuel into the combustion chamber 1, an air supplying part 3 for supplying air, a discharging passage 4 for discharging exhaust gas from the combustion chamber 1, a catalyst device 5 arranged in the discharging passage 4, and a hydrogen gas supplying part 6 connected to the discharging passage 4 passing the inside of the combustion chamber 1. In the hydrogen gas supplying part 6, nearly 80 weight% in a mixture made from fuel and water becomes hydrogen was by heat in the combustion chamber 1, and then supplied into the catalyst device 5 in the discharging passage 4. It is thus possible to reduce and eliminate nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas discharged from a combustion device by such a way that hydrogen gas is supplied, and then contact reduction is applied to the gas in the catalyst device 5. |
