PURPOSE:To provide a BaO-xTiO2-based dielectric ceramics without any hexagonal crack and exhibiting practical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:This BaO-xTiO2-based dielectric ceramic (x=3.5 to 4.5) contains BaTi4O9 and Ba2Ti9O20. In the case, the Ba2Ti9O20 content Ba2Ti9O20/(BaTi4O9+ Ba2Ti9O20) is controlled to <0.19 based on the integration of the maximum heights of the X-ray diffraction peaks as shown below. Namely, Ba2Ti9O20 content = peak height A1 of Ba2Ti9O20 assigned to the (421) face + peak height A2 assigned to the face (222)/peak height B1 of BaTi4O9 assigned to the (200, 140) faces + peak height B2 assigned to the (121) face + peak height B3 assigned to the (230, 140) faces + peak height of Ba2Ti9O20 assigned to the (421) face + peak height assigned to the (222) face. |
