PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording medium having excellent printability to aqueous ink without damaging necessary characteristic such as recording characteristics or storage stability. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording medium formed by successively laminating a thermal recording layer, a protective layer and an ink absorbing layer to at least the single surface of a support, the ink absorbing layer contains at least a polyvinyl acetal resin. This thermal recording medium has acting effect excellent in the printability to aqueous ink and can be adapted to a wide range of uses, especially, tickets such as railway ticket or a laisseg-passer, a prepaid card, a POS label or the like. |
