PURPOSE:To make unnecessary an exhaust process of a soot trap, an oxidation catalyst or the like by directly connecting a diesel engine to a gas engine so as to use both the engines as a drive prime mover for a load device, and recirculating exhaust gas from the gas engine to an intake side of the diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:Output shafts 23, 24 are directly connected to each other via a coupling 25 so that one end of a diesel engine 1 provided with an exhaust turbosupercharger 4 is connected to a gas engine 12 of a capacity smaller than that of the engine 1. The other end of the diesel engine 1 is connected to a load device 26 such as a generator. Mixture of air fed from an air supplying device 16 and gas fed from a gas supplying tube 13 is supplied into the gas engine 12, and combustion exhaust gas is discharged through a gas exhaust tube 17. An inlet of an EGR gas tube 19 is connected on the way of the gas exhaust tube 17 while an outlet of the EGR gas tube 19 is connected to an intake tube 8 upstream from a blower 7 of the turbosupercharger 4. Consequently, combustion gas of the gas engine 12 is recirculated as EGR gas to an intake side of the diesel engine 1. |
