TRANSPARENT THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To provide a light transmission type thermal recording material having long-term storage stability by using a transparent sheet material as support and adding a binder containing a hydrophobic polymer compound, a developer composed of a bis(hydroxyphenyl) acetate compound and a sensitizer composed of a dicarboxylic ester compound to a thermal color development layer. CONSTITUTION:A support is composed of a transparent sheet material and a thermal color development layer contains a hydrophobic polymer compound as a binder, a compound selected from bis(hydroxyphenyl)acetate compounds represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group) as a developer and a sensitizer selected from dicarboxylic ester compounds represented by formula II. The binder contained in a protective layer contains a solvent-soluble high-molecular compound having a solubility parameter B satisfying -1.1>=(A-B) or +1.1<=(A-B) with respect to the solubility parameter A of the binder contained in the thermal color development layer as a main component.
