PURPOSE:To improve the drying efficiency, save the energy and produce a laver sheet having high quality by knitting a laver screen using a metallic rod as at least a part of the screen rods, forming a laver sheet with the laver screen and passing the laver sheet together with the laver screen through a drying chamber. CONSTITUTION:A laver screen 1 is knit by using a metallic rod 2 as at least a part of the screen rods. The laver sheet formed on the laver screen 1 is circulated in a drying chamber 12. The laver screen having high thermal conductivity is heated with drying air flow to increase the temperature of the screen. Accordingly, the laver sheet is supplied with the drying thermal energy of the laver screen 1 in addition to that of the drying air flow. As a result, the drying time can remarkably be shortened compared with conventional process and the temperature of the drying air can be decreased to enable the production of laver sheet having high quality. |
