PURPOSE:To reduce each wear loss in a lockup shock and a lockup clutch/ CONSTITUTION:This controller is provided with a read-only memory 52, where a lock-upping speed ratio is stored at each transmission gear ratio of an automatic transmission 14, and a central processing unit 50 which judges whether the speed ratio to be obtained is more than the speed ratio corresponding to the transmission gear ratio to be detected, among these speed ratios stored in this read-only memory 52, and when so judged that it is more than the speed ratio stored in the read-only memory 52, indicating a lockup mechanism 26 so as to be lockupped. |
