A fold-up pallet container comprising a pallet-shaped bottom part 1 coupled on the top side with four walls 2,3,4,5 and a lid 6. The pallet container is characterized in that the wall 2 of the one long side, at its foot, is movably connected to the pallet-shaped bottom part 1 by means of guide fittings or the like 8 and in that a lid 6, by means of a butt hinge 13, is disposed along the horizontal upper edge of the wall 5 of the other long side. Along their vertical ends, the walls 2,5 of the long sides are connected by means of butt hinges 18 to the vertical ends of the walls 3,4 of the short sides. The walls 3,4 of the short sides are further vertically hinged in the middle and can be folded inwards by means of a butt hinge 14, the pallet container being able to be folded up by the lid 6 being dropped down towards the wall 5 and the walls 3,4 of the short sides being folded inwards, whereupon the wall 5 follows suit until a flat pack is obtained with the outside of the lid 6 facing the outer side of the wall 5. The whole of the pack herein obtained is then folded down by means of the guide fittings 8 with the inner side of the lid 6 against the top side of the pallet-shaped bottom part 1.
