An apparatus used as a portable penlight and where light can be directed longitutionally and latitutionally to an object and remain in place, without having to hold the penlight with a hand. This is done by fastening the clip of the penlight to one's apparal and adjusting the light to the desired direction. This invention comprises a plastic tube with a spring at the bottom which is connected to the negative terminal of the battery and five coloured glasses are stored at its bottom. Between the plastic tube and the penlight head is a pen-like clip. The penlight head comprises a control switch connected to the negative terminal of the battery. The head has an extended hollow arm to receive the bulbhead assembly and allows it to rotate up and down within a 150 degree angle. The penlight head can rotate 360 degrees latitutionally on its axis when connected to the tube. The bulb head assembly comprises a bulb, two bulb holders, negative and positive wires, washers, a chromed dome-shaped plate, a glass cover, and a magnetic glass cover. When assembled, the device is clipped on the apparal of a person and can be adjusted to a desired direction without having to move it around and hold it with a human hand, leaving both hands free. When coloured light is desired, a couloured glass is attached to the magnetic glass cover holder.
