The invention relates to a bearing member (1) for mounting, for example, a platen (4) of an office machine to a side wall (10) of the machine. The plastics bearing member has means (2) for receiving an axle (3) of the platen. A peripheral wedge shaped recess (9) receives a portion (16a, 16b and 16c) of a slot edge and two clamping arms (11, 12) each engage a respective side (20, 17a) of the open end of the slot (15) to secure the bearing member in position. A platen may be provided with two such bearing members, one on either end, and the resulting platen assembly can then be removed from the slots in the side walls of the machine by pressing the clamping arms of each bearing member together and lifting the platen assembly upwardly out of the slots. <IMAGE> |
