SHEET-LIKE SEPARATOR AND SEALED-TYPE LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PURPOSE:To prevent an electrolytic liquid from forming a layer and active material from dropping, improve the properties of a battery, and extend the life of the battery. CONSTITUTION:A sheet-like separator is used for a separator wherein the sheet- like separator has the flowing speed of an electrolytic liquid 100gum/hr or less and the value of the repellent at B point >=0.55Pkg/dm<2> and at C point >=0.40Pkg/dm<2> in the case Pkg/dm<2> at S point is assumed in the injected liquid repellent curve in the case of addition of a diluted sulfuric acid in the figure shown. An economical sealed-type lead-acid battery having excellent properties and a long life is provided.
