Device for braking tennis balls (or balls for other sports). The invention relates to a device making it possible abnormally to brake balls in order to force the user to make an abnormal effort or to enable users to have a longer time to react. It consists of a woven or nonwoven sleeve (1) in which the ball (6) will be accommodated at one of the ends (5). When the user wants to throw this ball, the sleeve will offer an air resistance which will brake the ball. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for braking balls in order: - 1) to improve the power, speed and gestual mechanics of the user - 2) to enable slower players to take part more easily in certain ball sports (tennis, volleyball, etc.). <IMAGE>
