PURPOSE: To protect the damage of apparatus, by a method wherein an abnormal state is discriminated by comparing a DC voltage signal obtained by rectifying the output of a resolver with a reference voltage, and the power to be supplied to a motor is controlled. CONSTITUTION: An operational amplifier QP1 receives the output V of a resolver, couples with resistors R1 , R2 , R3 , and operates as an inversion amplifier. Its output is applied to an operational amplifier OP2 acting as a differential amplifier, and subjected to full-wave rectification. In this case, AC components are eliminated by a low-pass filter constituted of a resistor 6 and a capacitor C1 . Therefore an output voltage VQ inputted in a microprocessor 2 via a diode D3 is turned into a DC voltage and converted to digital data by a built-in A/D converter, which data are compared with a reference voltage. On the basis of the result, a control signal is applied to a motor driver 3, and controls a motor 4. When the occurrence of abnormality is discriminated, a power adjusting signal supplied to the motor 4 is cut out, and the motor driver is protected. |
