PURPOSE:To make the opening part of a case larger than a liquid crystal display part in the case of housing a non-display part and the liquid crystal display part in the case and to prevent a display part from being invisible by covering the non-display part and the liquid crystal display part with a polarizing plate. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with the liquid crystal display part 1, the non-display part 2 provided at the peripheral part of the display part 1 and the polarizing plate 3 covering the display part 1 and the non-display part 2. The display part 1 is constituted of liquid crystal 4 holded with a glass 5 and a glass 6 and the polarizing plate 3, and the non-display part 2 is constituted of the glass 5, the glass 6, a joining part 7 and the polarizing plate 3. Then, the display part 1 and the non-display part 2 are covered with the polarizing plate 3. Since a liquid crystal display device has the non-display part 2 of about 20mm at the circumference thereof when it is actually used for a lap-top computer or a word processor, the opening part of the case can be made larger than that of the conventional liquid crystal display device even when the opposite angle of the display part 1 is identical. |
