<p>PURPOSE:To enable any person to perform the operations for input and execution of menus with no sense of oppression and with use of a small number of keys by controlling the selection and execution of the menu groups through an information processor. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 7 of a pointing device 4 is pushed while the main power supply of an information processor 1 is kept turned on, a system starts and a menu group 8 is shown on a screen. Then an operator selects and operates a direction key group 5 of the device 4 to choose a necessary menu out of the group 8 and pushes an execution key 6 of the device 4. Thus a menu group 9 set under the selected menu is pulled down, and a necessary menu is selected out of the group 9 in the same way. Finally the selected menu is carried out with push of the key 6. In such a procedure, any person can easily carry out many selected hierarchical menus.</p> |
