PURPOSE:To mount plural physical lines by classifying information of physical parameters required for communication into link information and destination information and generating and managing them as system generating information. CONSTITUTION:For example, an ISDN B-channel packet (INS-P) line, a DDX-P, a private line and an analog exchange line are mounted in mixture to a communication processing system employing an NSAP address resulting from concealing and logical-processing information to identify physical parameters required for communication such as a line type and a network subscriber number. Then the information relating to the physical parameters required for the communication is divided into two for the management. The one is link information to define a link managed by each node and key information to retrieve the information is information to specify a link such as a number of an I/O port. The other information is destination definition information defining the information required to make communication with a specific destination. Thus, the physical line in use is selected.
