ELECTRODEPOSITION COATING COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrodeposition coating composition containing a specific dialkyltin aromatic carboxylic acid salt and a bismuth compound or a zirconium compound as curing catalyst and capable of giving a coating film having excellent corrosion-proofness and weather resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective electrodeposition coating composition having excellent low-temperature curability and long-term storage stability and having blocked isocyanate group contains a curing catalyst consisting of (A) a dialkyltin aromatic carboxylic acid salt of formula I or formula II (R1 is 1-12C alkyl; R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl) (e.g. dioctyltin oxybenzoate) and (B) a bismuth compound such as bismuth hydroxide and bismuth nitrate and/or a zirconium compound such as zirconium dioxide and zirconium silicate as a curing catalyst.
