The wheel support includes an arm (2) interposed between the beam (1) and the wheel (5). This arm (2) is suspended from the beam by means of a swing pin (4) located transversely in the midplane of the plough and it is equipped, at its lower part, with a conversion pin (8) which allows passage from the working position to the transport position and vice versa. The arm (2) is inclined with respect to the swing pin (4) beyond a right angle in order to improve, in the transport position, the ground clearance of the plough. This inclination is fixed or adjustable. This support also includes means which allow the locking of the wheel in its transport position to be improved, these means being made up of a set of limit stops (25), (26), and of a sprung bolt (27). <IMAGE>
