PURPOSE:To generate plural kinds of sounds of percussion instruments with different sound volume and sound quality or to obtain a constant sound volume in spite of the strength of a key depressing force even by a keyboard without a touch response mechanism by sounding, for example, the plural kinds of sounds of percussion instruments by setting the sound volume differently by a white key and a black key in a hand percussion mode. CONSTITUTION:When it is judged that an instruction(120) to the hand percussion mode is issued, key information detecting processing is performed first, and it is checked whether or not a detected key shows the key in a percussion area. When it is judged that the key is the one in the percussion area. it is checked whether it is the white key or the black key. When it is judged that the key is the white key, corresponding data for percussion instrument generation is read out from a ROE 14, and is stored in a RAM 15, and the sound of percussion instrument with large sound volume can be sounded in the following sounding processing. Meanwhile, the same processing is performed in the case of the black key, and the sound of percussion instrument with small sound volume can be sounded in the following sounding processing. |
