PURPOSE:To enhance color development sensitivity and improve the preservation stability of a color developed image by adding a specific electron-receptive compound to a thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:An electron-donative color developing compound such as triarylmethane compound or rhodamine lactam and an electron-receptive compound expressed by formula (R is an alkyl group) are crushed to the grain size of 1.5mu and dispersed in water-soluble binders respectively to prepare a coating liquid after mixing them. This coating liquid is applied using any appropriate application device and then the applied liquid is dried to form a recording layer. Subsequently, the recording layer develops a color at low temperature and rapidly. Thus a thermal recording material thus obtained is best suited for high-speed recording and is highly sensitive. |
