PURPOSE:To generate a straight line and an oblique line whose line width is wide at a high speed by a word processor and a disk top publishing. CONSTITUTION:At the time of drawing the straight line connecting two points and having wide linear width, contour line information on the straight line is outputted from a contour line generation part 41 and the contour line is considered by the arrangement of picture elements. A contour line write processing part 42 writes the picture elements into a linear picture storage part 44 only when there is an increase/decrease in a component in a vertical direction. When the trace of the bag-formed contour line by one lap is ended, a paint-out processing part 43 raster-scans respective lines in a linear picture storage part 44, and paints out the picture element between two picture elements which are not adjacent only when they are detected on one line. |
