The compensation appts. includes an operational amplifier (10) with its positive input connected to a measurement signal source. Its negative input is connected via three resistances (R1, R2, R3) to a reference voltage source (20), the amplifier output and electrical earth. Compensation is achieved by varying one resistance (R3). The reference voltage source provides a variable reference voltage which is altered exclusively to influence the signal offset. The first two resistances are fixed and the third is adjustable exclusively to vary the signal gain. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for measuring air flow in internal combustion engine induction system.
