Flexible-strip continuous coiling system - transfers spool with first drive mechanism into second coiling station with second mechanism

The system continuously coils an endless strip (B) of polymer sheet onto successive spools. The strip is guided by a roller (12) onto a motor-driven coiling drum (14) and from there onto a spool in a first station (I), where it is coiled initially. It is then transferred to a second coiling station (II), where it is finally coiled, and after parting-off it is replaced by the next spool in the first station. In the first station, the spool is coupled to a first central motor drive (10), being transferred with the latter into the second station. Here a second central motor drive (132) takes over, the first one being returned to the first station and coupled to the next spool. USE/ADVANTAGE - Flexible strip coiling machine fully controls coiling operation and ensures smooth coils are produced.
