The system has a cam shaft, to open and close a valve. It is for use esp. in 4-stroke engines and similar systems. The system consists of a cam shaft and a control unit. The unit encloses the cam shaft with two lamelles, as in a bearing. The contact points are in the maximum and minimum points. The system has one cam, to press a support downwards, and the movement is controlled by another cam. The cam shaft rotates. The second cam then raises the element, and the movement is controlled by the first cam. After the lifting movement, the system is retained by the cams.
