Device for shredding and cleaning used plastic or metal oil cans, whereby the waste is first shredded to a given max. size and then centrifuged to remove residual oil, which is collected in a receiver. The process is carried out by means of vehicle-mounted equipment during travel. The shredded waste is conveyed from the shredder (8) to a centrifuge (10) by a steeply rising helical screw conveyor (15) with USE/ADVANTAGE - It provides a means of disposing of oil-contaminated waste, esp. used plastic or metal oil cans, with effective separation of oil and other material. The use of vehicle-mounted equipment is partic. advantageous.
