The anchorage for allowing a load-bearing chain to be suspended from the roof of a mine gallery has an elongated body (5) with a hole each end (7,8) for an anchorage bolt and a chain link holder extending downwards from the centre. The holder consists of two hooker arms (11) with a space between them for the link, each arm being hooked, forming a gap (15) for inserting and retaining the link (3). This link is supported horizontally and is connected to the first link (2) of the chain. The two arms are undercut at the top (14) forming a gap wider than the horizontal link. USE/ADVANTAGE - Load-bearing chain is for pipes, equipment supports etc. in underground mine and gives stable support.
