The coiling mechanism is for cast strip material of amorphous fine-crystalline composition, having a base structure and a driven winding shaft with mounting for the coil. Plain bush bearings in the top and bottom sections(4, 3) of the winding housing accommodate a hollow pivoting shaft(7) solidly coupled to a roller-chain support(8) and a gearwheel(9). The shaft (13) of a roller-chain mounting(12) rotates in the support. One end of the chain(20) is secured by a bolt in the mounting, and the other in a swing arm pivoting on a spindle in the bottom housing section. The latter also accommodates a hydraulic driving motor(10) whose pinion(11) meshes with the gearwheel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Strip is firmly secured to coil spool.
