PURPOSE:To obtain a mixer that is miniature, but provides microwave mixture of high performance by extracting an IF signal by mixing an input signal and local oscillation signal through a transistor as a phase distributor. CONSTITUTION:Microwave input signal RF and local oscillation signal LOCAL are supplied to ring modulator 27 through phase distributors 28 and 29 respectively. Distributor 28 is composed of transistor TR32 connected to DC electric power source +Vcc at its collector via resistor 31 while its emitter is earthed via resistor 30 and to those collector and emitter, mutually 180 deg. out-of-phase microwave input signals are sent and supplied to modulator 27 by way of capacitors 33 and 34. Similarly, distributor 29 has mutually 180 deg. out-of-phase signals supplied from the collector and emitter of TR35 to modulator 27 via capaitors 38 and 39 respectively. Then, signal RF is converted into signal IF for microwave mixing. |
