The arresting equipment, especially for garage doors, consists of a fixed door fixture (7) in which there is an arresting bar (6) fixed by its first end. The other end has an arresting mechanism. The arresting mechanism consists of a horizontal bearing plate (1) with a vertical pin (3) on which there is the revolving body (2) of the arrester consisting of an angular profile bar on one side wall, near the first end of the arresting bar (6) there is a long vertical cut (4) towards which, in the second side wall of the body (2) of the arrester, there is long horizontal cut (5) the lower edge of which is located higher than the lower edge of the vertical cut (4). The second end of the arresting rod (6) running through both these cuts (4,5) in the horizontal area is shaped so that outside diameter of the surface figure, in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the horizontal cut (5) is lower than the length of this cut (5) and in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the arresting rod (6) is lower than the inside distance between the vertical walls of the body (2) of the arrester.<IMAGE>
