<p>The invention relates to an airflow deflector for a windshield wiper blade (10) carried by an arm and capable of wiping a surface (26) of a windshield (28). The deflector (12) comprises a shaped part (34) attached to a thin strip (36) capable of being fixed to an element of the windshield wiper, for example to the blade (10), this thin strip comprising an elongate bearing face (46) on which there are made transverse grooves (52), the said bearing face being capable of being applied and fixed against an elongate reception face (48) of the windshield wiper element (10) by fixing means (54), thus making air passages between the thin strip (36) and the windshield wiper element (10).
