The operative mechanism for replacing cans (2) on a textile machine (7) is located on the transport vehicle (1) and contains at least one conveyer (14) consisting of a frame (13) in which there is a belt (18) on the revolving pulleys (4,5) on which there is a swinging casing (9) supported by a bearing spring (17). In the casing (9) there is a bar (10) that can slide out terminating in the coupling plate (8), whereas between the coupling plate (8) and the casing (9) on the bar (10) there may be a pressure spring (16). A pin (11) is connected to the casing (9) in the track of which there is a front and rear swinging element (12,19) while the belt (18) is moving.<IMAGE>
