<p>A release agent management (RAM) system including a metering roll (110) supported for contact with release agent material (106) contained in a sump (108). Release agent material (106) in the form of relatively low viscosity silicone oil is pumped into the sump (108) via an inlet (134) attached at one end (122) of the sump (108). An outlet (141) is attached to the sump (108) at its other end (124). By attaching inlet and outlet hoses at the ends of the sump (108), maximum clearance for the paper and a cost effective RAM is provided. Oil height variation due to sump tipping, end-to-end, is minimized by structure (126, 128) internal to the sump (108) which simulates a central (138) inlet/outlet. <IMAGE></p> |
