New adamantyl-1-amide derivatives of glutamic acid, which can be used for preparing new biologically active substances. They have formula I where X means groups of the type of benzyloxycarbonyl, tertbutyloxycarbonyl, o-nitrophenyl thienyl, fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl, or hydrogen, Y means the benzyl, tertbutyl, n-butyl, amide, hydroxyl, or adamantyl-1-amide group, Z means the pentafluorophenyl, adamantyl-1-amide, or amide group, and the combination of X, Y and Z groups must contain an adamantyl-1-amide group either in place of Y or Z or in both groups Y and Z in all derivatives.<IMAGE>
