This measuring device can read the leading forces in the contact of a wheel with the rail for railway vehicles with spring-loaded wheels. Knowledge of the reactive forces is necessary for designing the individual parts of the drive of the vehicle, the construction of the railway superstructure and the verification of the railway vehicle's rate of resistance to derailing. This solution is based on the use of the deformation of rubber-metal inserts of the railway vehicle's spring-loaded wheels to measure reactive forces. Using the measuring device it is possible to measure the cross relative deviations of the wheel rim from the disk of the wheel. These deviations are proportional to the acting reactive force. The measuring device for reading the reactive force on an underground rail vehicle's spring-loaded wheels is characterised by the fact that on the clamping bolt (3), on the side of the outside disc (4), a plotting desk (1) with sealed tensiometers (7a, 7b) is mounted through the holder (2) for reading the cross deviations of the wheel rim (8) from the disc (4), which are proportional to the reactive force, and the free end of the plotting desk (1) is supported by a small pulley (6) on the pad (5) mounted on the wheel band (8).<IMAGE>
